We have noticed an increase in the number of fake listings pretending to be “Bear & Bison Lake View” on booking.com and other channels.

They use stolen photos and a slightly changed property name. They show availability during peak times, when we are usually fully booked, and offer rates substantially below our real rates.

The scammers may ask to be contacted off-platform to confirm availability and make a reservation. They may then send a link to an external payment link (e.g. on a fake Tripadvisor page).

If you have come across listings like this, please do not contact them. Please stay safe and avoid getting scammed.

Please note that all our Whatsapp enquiries are handled directly by David (no one else). When you book via booking.com, airbnb or vrbo, these platforms handle all payments and we will never direct you to pay off-platform.

We offer our best available rates when you book directly with us — via the booking form or contact form/e-mail. We collect payment using a verified Stripe account. We are always happy to prove our identity with a video-call.
